[There's a voice she doesn't exactly hate. Even if he's one of the most annoying creatures she's met.]

There's nothing to do there.

[She lifts up her booted feet and frowns even more.]

Less than on this sick world, I'm guessing.

[ He has been doing his best to be somewhat less annoying, mostly because he's been avoiding her and any mention of himself, Eizen or what happened to them all before she arrived. ]

There's loads to do! You just gotta go and see it.

[ Ah, that frown... It's so cute... ]

[As much as she sort of adores dorky Sorey and moody Mikleo, having Zaveid around to understand her feelings about her brother was nice back home. Here, however, he's been ignoring her and as much as she'd claimed she wished he'd done that back on Rayfalke, she hates it here.

Lailah is gone, though she'd been there before. Rose and Alisha are still back home. And she's never really been close to Dezel.

So, who is she left with that knows? Zaveid. And he's been treating her like she's about to turn into a dragon herself. It's irritating and she's done with it.]

Are you asking me out on a date? I don't think Eizen would like to hear that.

[Meaningless when everyone knows that all she has to do is stab him a few times with her parasol or punch him in the face. Doesn't stop her brother though. He's hopeless.]

Besides, I don't date deviants with long hair.

[ Zaveid is doing his best, he really is, but it's hard. Having Eizen around, having Edna back, all after what happened with the others... It's not as simple as just accepting things for what they are and moving on. It's harder, complicated, and he doesn't really know what to do about it all.

He wants to reach out and help her, though. He's just not sure how to do it just yet. ]

Hey! I told him I was gonna marry you once. He seemed fine with it.

[ If shouting his name threateningly was being 'fine' with it, and Zaveid just grins, beaming at her.

At the same time, though, he puts a hand on his chest. ]

Damn... Good think I'm spoken for.

[If he thinks it's easy for her, he's letting all that lack of oxygen go to his dippy head. She helped kill her brother, the one creature on the entire world that loved her more than anything else. She was the one who kept him from being an even more dangerous menace to the Earth Dwellers responsible for his transformation.

She was the one who delivered the final blow.

At his comment, she raises an eyebrow and twirls her parasol menacingly.]

Yeah, I'm sure he was. And did he threaten to beat you to death too?

[Because she knows her brother. She knew her brother.]

I feel sorry for whomever is claiming you sometimes.

[ It's not something that's easy for either of them for different reasons. Eizen was Edna's brother and there's no denying how intense and painful it must have been for her, but Zaveid had lost the only person he had left in the entire world, the link to his past, the person who had saved him. He had nothing once Eizen was gone, not really, and the risk of losing the Shepherd and their pact to Heldalf...

Shaking his head, he knocks the thoughts away with a huff and a shrug. ]

He just shouted at me a little bit. No big deal, I'm used to angry brothers!

[ No he's not. But, hey - ]

That's not very nice! They probably feel really lucky.

[They're both all that's left of a dark and dangerous time for humans and Malakim/Seraphim. And have lost someone that can never be replaced with Eizen's death. But she knows he was gone long before that.

Letting go is hard and she's bad at it. ]

Hm. I think you ran.

[She might not know Zaveid as well as Eizen, but running would've been the smart thing. And considering the Wind seraph is very much alive, that's the only logical conclusion.]

And how much would you pay them before I asked them how they feel about being with you?

[ It's not like Zaveid is any better. He's lived his life in the shadows of dragons more than enough times for it to be exhausting, but he keeps on going. He just doesn't have any other choice as far as he's concerned - it's how his life has played out.

A part of him wishes it could be changed, but he also knows he wouldn't have it any other way. ]

Hey! I didn't run!

[ Which is true, actually. It wasn't as dangerous a situation as it sounds. ]

I wouldn't pay them at all. I have faith.

[They should agree that dragons suck and that humans really need to sit down and think about their life choices before they involve innocent seraphim into their dirt.

It's only logical.]

I wonder. Maybe I should ask Eizen.

[It's not her brother would have the audacity to lie to her.]

Faith, huh? You sound like Alisha now. [She might miss the former squire, but she'll never admit it either.] Or Sorey. I think you've spent too much time around him. You need new friends.

[ They could probably agree on a lot of things and, maybe, that was the problem. It's far easier to joke around with Edna than it is to actually talk about things and realise their similarities.

Plus, she'd probably hit him. ]

Go ahead. He'll tell you the same thing.

[ He'd just run away and not talk to her for years, no big. ]

Hey! I've got friends! And there's nothing wrong with hanging out with Sorey. He could be a good influence on you, too!

[Oh, she'd definitely hit him. As serious as they both could be, he chose the weirdest things to trying and lighten the mood. And she was prone to being morose on a good day.

So, as much as they are alike, they're very dissimilar and they bump heads over it all the time. She's sure that that's how he got along with Eizen as well. Annoy and retry.]

No, Eizen will tell me everything I want to know about it without all the dodging.

[Because he's a good brother. Sometimes. And he'd better, or else she'll hunt him down this time.]

I don't need a good influence on me. I'm perfectly fine just the way I am.

[She says as she silently thinks that being with the rest of their ragtag group has already been some sort of a good influence on her.]
