[Of course she likes dirt and rocks. She's a goddamn earth seraph. He can't be surprised about that. It really is nice to be around Edna again, though. Dezel's always had a soft spot for kids... even ones who are two thousand years older than he is. Not that everything was rosy all the time, but... he'd grown to trust her. That meant something.]

Crowley lets kids in his bar all the time, they just can't order alcohol. [Oh, and--] I make the food.

I suppose if there was someone who deserved it, I might qualify. However, imagine the fuss that Eizen would cause.

[It's almost worth it to think about what her dumb brother would try to do to keep his 2000+ year old little sister "pure". Of course, his overbearing attitude could get annoying, but she knew that he loved her more than anything in the world. And the feeling might have been mutual.

[Crowley could probably magic it right back together, but best not to rely on that. Especially if Dezel accidentally gets caught in the rampage.]

You think I'd still have a job if I served half-alive black goop? [The mention of Rose makes him twinge a little bit. He misses her a lot and he doesn't... mention her casually as a result. There are a lot of very complicated feelings wrapped tight around that single word.]

I make good food. It's just not served on plates half the time because Crowley likes to mess with people.

[Look, she might like to cause a little trouble every now and then, but it's always measured to get the effect she wants. And destroying the communal areas of the fleet isn't exactly something she desires. Right now.]

I know you make good food, moron. It's the others in the group that make questionable food. If I have to listen to Sorey say "Oh, it didn't come out the way I wanted" one more time, I'm going to start stabbing people. How the hell he burns sorbet, I'll never know. And Mikleo's useless if anything requires heat.

He tries to marry the fruit flavors with a reduction, but he has the heat too high. That's why he ends up with charred black stuff instead of syrup. It'd be fine if he left out that step but he always wants to make it as smooth as Mikleo's. He knows better, at least.

Eizen has his treasures. Mikleo and Sorey have their ruins and Celestial Record. Even Edna has a few things she keeps dear to her (though not as positive as the others.) Dezel? Dezel has his cooking and animals. And she'd much rather talk about the food. At least she gives a crap about that.]

Marrons glacés are my favorite. [She is so put out.] Fine. I want chiffon cake and Drago Stew.
