Nah, don't worry about it. I'll give him plenty to chew on.

[ Rokurou's already geared up as he sets Fuwari down behind himself; it's true that hand-to-hand combat isn't his forte, but hey, by any means necessary if it gets him a fight. ]

Did you bring something to feed him, too?

[ Fuwari won't move from the position where she's been placed - she trusts that's where he'd like her - but something about this seems a bit off. And that's concerning. ]

Yeah, but it might not go down very easily.

[ Fuwari might want to look away, because this sure is Rokurou punching a rock monster. ]

[ Sure is. Good thing daemons are sturdy enough not to break any bones after doing something this dumb. ]

[ Fuwari's hand goes to her mouth. ]

You mustn't! That might hurt him!

That'd be the point!

[ He dodges out of the way of a swipe at his side, calling back over his shoulder to her. Man this is gonna be a lot tougher than he'd anticipated. ]

But he hasn't done anything--

[ Ohhhhh, this is going to be trouble. Fuwari bunches up her skirts and hurries towards the fight. ]

[ Thankfully, for all parties involved, Rokurou's not so into the fight that his eye's started to glow. Which means he has just enough lack of interest in the fight to see Fuwari coming their way and not immediately lunge at her for interrupting his fight. Instead, he's calling out even as he tries to lead the rock monster his way. ]

Hey, keep back!

That's too cruel.

[ Fuwari has her hands over her mouth as she watches. She understands that nature can be a rough place, but if somebody wasn't bothering you... ] This is his home....

He just bit you. And he looks tough enough to survive a little duel.

[ With the obvious signs of distress on Fuwari's face, maybe Rokurou's not going to get his to-the-death fight that he'd been hoping for... ]

Anyone would be scared if guests dropped by unexpectedly.

[ Fuwari isn't just going to make a face. Fuwari is going to try to insert herself between Rokurou and his quarry. ] I'll explain to him that it was rude, so, please.....?

[ Annnd Rokurou's going to hook an arm around her waist when the rock monster makes another swipe for them both, dodging back once more and this time keeping his arm around her waist. ]

How about we compromise and leave him alone?

[priforpalps]

I'm sure he'll understand...

[ But he's already so very distressed. Fuwari thinks this over. ] All right.

Mister Rock, we won't bother you any more, so no more hurting strangers, okay?

[ This smile could make flowers sprout, even here. ]

[ If this actually works, Rokurou's ready to give up alcohol. ]

[ ... For like two days. ]

[ Maybe. ]

[ That smile just got even brighter. ] All animals are friends, you see.

[ I'm not sure I should be allowed near this level of purity. ]

Never saw that before, myself.

[ Fuwari waves to the pile of rocks. ] Everyone means well. Truly, truthfully.

[ It is hard to tell what a pile of rocks intends....

...but at least it isn't attacking any more. ]

[ Rock I will come back for you once I return this tiny to a ship. ]

[ Fuwari giggles nervously when she's praised. It wasn't anything special... ]

You weren't injured, were you?

[ It'd be awful if you were. ]

Me? Nah, I'm fine, it'll take more than that to give me a dent. What about you though, you're the one who took a bite.

[ A smile. ]

I've been told I, too, have rocks for brains.

[ So she feels a kinship with the animals of this planet! It's all good! ]

Well if you ask me, you've got some pretty smart rocks in there then.

[ Pretty brave rocks too, to jump up and do what she did. Rokurou can respect that. ]

[ Fuwari colors a bit, but keeps smiling. Praise...she just did what came naturally, really... ]

Shall we head back so he can finish his nap?

[ Rokurou can always sneak back later for part 2 of their fight once he's sure he's not going to be followed by little pacifists. ]
