[ it probably isn't fair to say he's quite gotten acclimated to the place yet - this whole experience still feels both impossible and vaguely dreamlike - but luke is adjusting. at the very least, the shock isn't enough to keep him from exploring dasil'di. he is the perfect picture of a gobsmacked tourist as he investigates the city: wide-eyed and a little (accidentally) rude as he inevitably stops swimming to gawk at some structure right in someone else's path.

at some point, he can also be found circling a structure in the city. it is clear that he's looking for the door, and also that he's absolutely frustrated at not being able to find it -- which probably sucks for him, since he's circling a natural structure and not a real building with an actual door. whoops. ]

[ Mikumo still wasn't quite sure how he was able to breathe underwater, and truth be told, he wasn't the most graceful swimmer in the world. He was managing, though, however awkwardly.

There was a dumb little piece of petrified coral on a string around his neck, which he'd been suckered into buying as a souvenir. ]

[ luke has the decency to look a little embarrassed as he spins in place to address mikumo. his hair wafts in a blond halo around his head, and it seems to be driving kind of crazy. ]

I don't know, I just thought - this was a building or something. Kinda digging the architecture of this place, I wanted to see inside.

[ he is the definition of a shitty tourist. ]

Oh. Is that okay? I mean, won't the people inside be annoyed?

[ Or maybe not. Maybe on underwater waterworld, they welcomed dumb tourists with open arms and were definitely okay with being watched. ]

The structures do look fascinating -- I wonder what they're for. I bet there are all kinds of different types built for specialized purposes.

[ Feferi kind of watching the guy circling for a while, from afar. It's sort of funny, and she wonders how long he's going to keep at it, but at some point it just kind of gets... sad, and she can't just not doing anything. She approaches cautiously, looking for all the world like she fits in here anyway (because she does) and kind of follows along behind him for a few seconds. When she can't figure out what it is he's actually trying to do, it's time to say something. ]
