[A shrug.] I thought you would've found your own craft for diving by now. Are you sure you'll be fine just on the passenger seat?

[His tone is teasing as he guides Keith to his pod for a new dive jump. He's truly enjoying this sport, and he knows it'll be much better if he has the company of an old friend.]

[tempredmental]

[Keith shrugged in return, very nonchalant.]

Then you won't be surprised to hear that I already did, but I think it might be a little more fun with a friend.

[He smiled a bit. It was something familiar in this strange place, spending time with Shiro. Keith was willing to give up being the actual pilot for the sake of being with someone he knew.]

[padadin]

[A chuckle.] Definitely not surprised. Does that mean I don't get to race you later?

[Being in an universe without war, and most importantly, being with a friend, make it easier for Shiro to relax and let his more fun side out. Which it shows in this air diving thing already.]

How high should we go this time? [He asks as he enters the cockpit.]

[tempredmental]

Oh... we definitely need to race.

[Keith gave him that cocky smirk he was known for as he climbed in as well. It was definitely nice to see Shiro being able to enjoy himself. Keith was glad for it, really. Out of anyone, Shiro deserved this.]

How high have you gone already?

[padadin]

I'll hold you to that, buddy.

[He presses some buttons on the console, showing Keith the progress he's made on the screen. It seems Shiro has made quite a few dives already, higher and higher each time. But they can always go even higher, right?]

Add whatever distance you want and let's go.

[Come on, Keith, give him a challenge.]

[tempredmental]

[Keith glanced at the numbers for a second, and then looked up at Shiro with an 'are you sure?' kind of look. Keith liked a good adrenaline challenge as much as Shiro did.]

Well, I've been up to here already. [He pointed to a spot on the screen that wasn't far off from Shiro's highest point.] Guess we'll just have to go higher.

[He entered in a number that was pretty impressive, but not stupid. This was a new thing, after all. He was impulsive, not an idiot.]

[padadin]

[That look is answered with one that says 'do you remember whom you are talking to?'. The comment makes him chuckle.]

You guess. [His tone shows he isn't buying that for a second. Of course they have to go higher, this is out of the question.] Buckle up.

[Going from piloting Black back to piloting regular ships should be a weird experience, but thankfully the damn augment helps with that. So Shiro is his usual smooth self as they go up in a straight, fast line, dropping at the very last second with outstanding accuracy.

The drop in the water feels amazing, and Shiro is laughing all the way.]

[tempredmental]

[Keith's smirk shifted to something more like a grin as he did just that. Sometimes, being the passenger could be more exhilarating than being the pilot. The sensation of putting your trust completely in someone else's hands was a pretty big deal.]

You think they'll let us race? Or will they kick us out for it?

[Keith was laughing, too, as they came back up after the dive. But he was definitely willing to do this in side-by-side crafts.]

[padadin]

[And Keith putting his trust in his hands means a lot to Shiro, seeing that grin only causing to widen his own. Gosh, getting to casually hang out with Keith again is so great. Are viewers watching this? Just them being pilots nerds? Because for him, it's such an amazing thing to live through.]

In the water or in space? I think we can do whatever we want in space as long as we don't leave the fleet. In the water, I'm not sure. It may disturb some o the creatures living there.

[tempredmental]

[Keith considered it, definitely weighing the options.]

What about just in the atmosphere? There's gotta be a clear space with no traffic. We won't be getting too far from the fleet, and we won't be bothering any of the water life below.

[Best of both worlds?]

Sounds like a plan. Back to the ship for our own pods then?

[They could use this one but he isn't sure if the people of the planet want them to take them for anything else than this little sport of theirs.]

[Keith had a similar feeling about using the rented craft, so he nodded.]

Yeah. I think that's probably our best bet.

[He grinned a little... so ready for this. They hadn't really put their skills to the test against each other like this before. It had always either been Keith learning from Shiro or the two of them working as a team. But, to have an outright challenge? This was going to be fun.]
