Have you been looking for some new CR? Want an excuse to friend someone on plurk? Have a cool idea for a thing in the game but aren't sure whether or not anyone would be interested? Just want to find another character who likes making snide remarks about cute little chickens painted on rustic terra-cotta pottery? NOW IS THE TIME.

What they are like: Jennifer is the captain, medical officer and longest-residing resident of the good ship Wonderduck and is from a very tropey sci-fi canon, so by this point there's little in the Fleet that can faze her. She's very confident in the infirmary, but outside of it she can be shy, socially awkward, lack self-confidence and have difficulty approaching others. However, she is a good friend and good at being a listening ear when needed.
Looking for: I admit, right now I'm feeling stuck with Jennifer. She just hit her second anniversary so is coasting along a little bit. She is working to help the Dasioe on the current planet, so any characters who are involved with that are ones I'd love for her to ICly touch base with. Otherwise, I'm open to suggestions.

Will sass you but actually like you deep down. Lab support and one of the captains on the newly fused Goldstone. She has previous game history from kyriakos! She goes by Opal ICly because of her CRAU.
Looking for: Eeeeverything. I love both positive and negative CR of all flavors, and I'm usually down for any shenanigans anybody would like to play out! I'd really like to deepen her existing CR in particular (someone make this girl talk about her problems, lord), but I'm always up for tossing her at characters she hasn't met yet, too. What they are like: She comes from the original comic book grimdark world. (Okay, maybe not the original, original, but shit was dire and it seemed to influence 616 after that point too. Anyway, her world was overtaken by Apocalypse and everything was genocide and fighting and destruction and radiation and badness. She's one of the X-Men, but she was also the team assassin as a teenager and was kind of a child bride too? Accidentally killed by her husband. Yeah, not the greatest. But she's also been in RP forever. A little less than 7 years in MarinaNova (which was also 1 year of game time but she's realizing that time didn't line up normally there.) and a little over a year in Drift. It has had her deal with some of her issues. Get some new ones. Soften her edges and allowed her to be a little bit more the person she always would have been without the constant struggle. She cares deeply about people whether she shows it or not. Always ready to hop up on soapbox. She wants to enjoy herself more and be liked instead of hated and feared. She's also the co-pilot and co-captain of the Twin Roses.

Characters: Mon-El
What they are like: He is from Daxam which was next to Krypton and got messed up the same time Krypton was destroyed. He also came to earth, but very recently, and doesn't understand all the specific terms and customs. He's from a hedonistic, party culture but he's also trying to model himself after Kara in a lot of ways so, he is very much in a state of transition. That said he's generally friendly, cute (yes, as a personality trait), interested in having fun, but also helpful even if it takes him a minute to get there. He is security on the Goldstone.
Looking for: Looking for anything and everything except a romantic relationship since he's currently dating Kara.

Notes: I love boommeranging though obviously I can't always do it. I'm also pretty dedicated to playing until a thread feels like it's reached something at least conclusion adjacent, so never feel bad about backtagging. But also, please always feel free to handwave things with me or work up scenarios or smooth over anything that isn't working for you, etc. Always happy to communicate!

What they are like: He’s a very grumpy elfin, with pointy ears and purple eyes. He’s half sidhe (Dawn Court) and half unsidhe (Dusk Court) with a tiny bit of dragon to make the two sides of his heritage play nicely together. He’d much rather be human, and considers himself basically human, since all his raising was done in the human world. He’s a bit better about not growling at other elfin after his recent canon update. He’s extremely commitment phobic and has a lot of walls against people in general getting close. Back home he’s a Stalker, which is basically a bounty hunter. He’s kind of allergic to magic.
Looking for: Positive or negative, either would be great. Friends are always welcome, and I’m totally up for the complication of getting him involved in a relationship. Mostly he just needs more CR.

What they are like: Communications officer on the Goldstone winner of the Worst Demon Ever award. He's the Serpent of Eden (yeah, really) and likes to think he makes his way through life tempting people and/or generally ruining their days. Despite this, his efforts usually fall into the "harmless pranks" spectrum than anything actually harmful. Seriously, he's a really shit demon. He's lazy and snarky, and pretty much does whatever he can to avoid exerting any kind of effort for anything. He has an absolute heart of gold, but he will never, ever admit it, and if people show any gratitude to him, he pretends he did nothing nice at all. He regularly puts stupid, pointless games up on the network, which are HERE. He also uses his comms augment to listen to everyone's private conversations on the network- so if you like that, that's a thing!
Looking for: Crowley will get along with most people. He really loves humanity a lot so if your character is human: bonus points! But that doesn't mean he won't talk to anyone else. He so will. At great length. He loves theology talk, if you get him on that subject he'll talk your ear off. He's a CRAU with about 6 years in Paradisa beforehand under his belt. He also owns a bar! She's still brave and a little bossy and still super into taking care of people, but she's also a lot more damaged, a lot more careful and a touch more vulnerable because of it. She's very trusting and wants to take care of people, often at the risk of her own health, and she's used to putting everyone before herself. She'll stick up for anyone in a fight and can take people on with magic or sword these days, but she'd still rather be friends rather than anything else.
Looking for: Friends and psuedo family! She's already been adopted by a load of big brothers, so some big sister figures would be wonderful. People to put her in her place would be nice, and people who'll push her out of her comfort zone. He likes almost everyone he meets and wants to be a hero even though he has come to realize that he's just a supporting character. Chekov just found out that his MarinaNova girlfriend (Kitty) doesn't remember being his girlfriend and now has a boyfriend (Winn) who is in a coma (it's very dramatic), so he's enjoying some quality heartbreak. I know that sounds super depressing, but I promise he's a fairly upbeat kid with a solid sense of humor. There's some tl;dr in his journal if you're ever bored and curious.

What they are like: A cheerfully greedy bitchy sass-machine who runs one of your local bars, so she's probably known by sight to many drinkers even if they've never talked. Captain of the Bloodsport by virtue of Atroma picking her name out of a hat. She's a pirate in her own world, one of the best navigators in that world (arguably the best, pirate crews keep trying to steal her), and is a master thief/pickpocket who has a nigh supernatural awareness of weather changing around her, all of which you can imagine is incredibly useful in the middle of space. Ergo, she's kind of salty about the whole deal. She's very intelligent, more compassionate than most would think at first meeting, and avoids trouble out of cowardice and common sense, unless trouble is picking on friends. She's also prone to throwing common sense out the window if you wave treasure in her face. Gimme.

Looking for: Anything. Nami will literally talk to anyone, befriend most people who aren't jerks, and tends to be protective of her friends in ways that break the law, so. But also if you ever want shenanigans involving making money somehow, she's your gal.

Notes: Despite the anime's tendency to give her tits bigger than her head, I play her with a figure that's, y'know, anatomically possible. Jsyk. Also, despite her icons she's timeskipped. I've cut her hair. (Twice now.)

Currently stuck in her avatar from the spiritual successor of said game. Blue hair and pointy ears aside, she looks the same. Asuna's very friendly and compassionate, and she loves to cook. She will stuff your characters like a thanksgiving turkey. Combatwise, she's a very effective leader and is super skilled with a rapier and healing/misc magic.
Looking for: Gonna be tacky, and say "anything" at this point. Maybe more people for her to adopt, people to adopt her. She currently needs a bff in the fleet to talk with about all sorts of things. Girly things. Also some negative cr would be interesting. It takes a lot for her to completely dislike someone, so I obviously want that. Sparring partners? A new teacher for things? Lay it on me.

What they are like: Charles is the guy you go to when you want a hug or someone to hold your hand. He's a good listener, he tends to avoid giving condescending advice and he'll make you feel like a million dollars. That being said, he has a strong stubborn streak, tends to think he's right in all things and has a self-esteem lower than the Mariana Trench.
Looking for: I'm always open for all CR but I would love for Charles to be a mentor to other people. Preferably people younger to him obvs (though that's not hard to fill) but if you play a younger character and looking for someone to bounce off in terms of giving that character security and warm feelings, I wanna be there

Characters: Okita Souji
What they are like: A security officer on the Goldstone.
He's one of the most feared swordsmen of the Shinsengumi, the Shogunate's private force that clashed with the Revolutionists at the end of the Edo period. Said to be a genius at the sword and a natural born killer, his name was well known enough that people would call him the "demon swordsman."
He also dresses in all white kimono, keeps his hair long like a girl, carries a piglet wherever he goes, and thinks stealing and reading terrible poetry for the lulz is a great way to spend an afternoon. So ymmv.
Looking for: Sparring partners, people who are grumpy and need a troll to bring them out, someone he can trust and finally tell them who he really is, doctors who are willing to enable his denial over his illness, anyone who knows Japanese history and might recognize him because he needs to get over his paranoia already. Also just general fun, people who don't mind to be teased and/or can tease back. Anything goes.
Notes: I like when he can be a mentor to people, but he's really bad at it and will decide that becoming like him will make things better (spoilers: it won't). He's a great teacher, bad mentor. He's also a lying liar and is currently telling everyone his name is Soujirou.

I also like absorbing trivia and assorted knowledge that will rarely if ever be needed, so I'm always down for looking stuff up for people, especially since it's not like I'm getting any other mileage out of that history degree at the moment.

Also, I'm in Arizona, so I don't observe daylight savings time at all. My hometown holds the state record for hottest temperature ever (and second hottest in the history of the US), and the hottest overnight temperature. I was alive (and miserable) for both of those occasions. For anyone wondering, those numbers are 128 F / 53.33 C and 98 F / 36.67 C respectively.

Princess Looma Red Wind

Character: Looma Red Wind
What they are like:



For starters, she's kind of really big and fully aware of this, and regularly uses it to her advantage. She's been shortened to (only) seven and a half feet tall for the game just so she can actually move around in a ship without being permanently hunched over, but she's still basically a walking mountain of muscle. Most of the time she's pretty abrasive and has all the social graces of a wolverine (the furry cuisinart or Marvel's, your choice), but thanks to all the time she spent in her last game she's at least a lot more docile. In that she won't straight up start punching people once she gets a little angry, anyway. She's also better about respecting people for skills unrelated to combat, but one's aptitude for breaking faces is still weighed a little more heavily than, say, how great they are at math (you nerd).

In addition to being a princess (and a pretty spoiled one at that), she's also technically a military officer, since her father regularly entrusts her with commanding everything from a small force of infantry to an actual space fleet, and he is essentially the only person on the planet higher up the chain of command than she is. Consequently she is 110% familiar with combat, especially since Khoros has been dealing with an ongoing planetary civil war / power struggle for the past few thousand years (I'M NOT KIDDING).

Despite her usual disposition, Looma's still fairly young (around 19-20 ish), which means she can definitely come across as an entirely different person if she's excited about something. She's also kind of a closet romantic, and you will get whiplash from the double-take if you happen to stumble across a lovestruck Looma. It's...it's a thing.

If the fleet docks on a planet and your party needs a tank, there's a pretty high chance she'd be on board for that. She also hates losing, even at things she never wanted to play at all, so she'll also actually take this reality show thing seriously and try to win (this will also be the second Space Reality Show she's been abducted into and forced to compete on, the first one being canon).

Looking for: Jumping on the bandwagon and mentioning I'm down for pretty much everything! Though probably at the top of the list: Looma needs a sparring partner who doesn't break easily, and for selfish CR reasons I kind of want her to start building up a circle of friends who can tolerate her attitude and help her be more sociable / less menacing to people. It takes a while to get there, but despite any of her objections and complaining she will totally have your back if you manage to befriend her. Cute shippy stuff is not off the table either, but for most characters even attempting that would be hazardous to their health, so that one's sort of a pipe dream.

Notes: Tagging speed can vary, because my work schedule varies. A lot.

For something more specific to Looma though: Looma, like the vast majority of her species, is completely hairless. Look for her to collect fancy headdresses if she ever needs to be all regally formal (and not in the warlord way).

Also she's canonly still single because she beat up literally everyone on her planet who proposed to her. She is small for a Tetramand, but that's clearly not hurting her any.

What they are like: Emo elf is Emo, and also depressed and not terribly sane! Essentially, Maglor has had a very crap life, much of it self-inflicted in large part, of which he is well aware, which has made him into that most annoying kind of "THE WORLD IS TERRIBLE AND IT IS ALL MY FAULT" type of person, especially since ... he's not actually 100% wrong. Having said that, he's an artist, at heart, who would really like nothing better than to be allowed to play music all day (and all night). He adores children, and has a habit of kidnappingadopting strays (you think I am joking but I have canon evidence). He is absolutely, terrifyingly dedicated to his family. Oh and he's a mass murderer with a kill count in the thousands, including noncombatants. Yep.
Looking for: I am a terrible person who says anything, sorry. But! I'd love him to branch out a bit, because he's very very stuck to his family. Someone to encourage him to go out more! Maybe someone he can look after?

Characters: Maedhros Nelyafinwë Maitimo Fëanorian (sometimes also called Russandol).
What they are like: He is a tortured/scarred Elf who is thousands of years old. At his core, he is a kind soul, filled with love for his family and those he calls friends. His madness only surfaces when he is directly confronted now, but it's as bad as it ever was and it is hard for him to return to sanity. But he has a lot of reasons to do so now and he is actually relatively happy for once.
Looking for: I'd love for him to mentor someone again/take them under his wing. I think he would really shine in the task.
Notes: His background is dark - as one might expect. He has been tortured, abandoned, driven mad and he has murdered countless times, which haunts him daily on top of everything else. He is an interesting mix of agony and guilt with small sparks of hope. If his past disturbs you in any way, I am happy to avoid mentioning it around your character(s).

What they are like: She is a lonely girl with a heart of gold and an adventurous spirit. Rey has the habit of caring about others remarkably quickly. She hates losing anyone and each time she does, more than a few tears are shed. But she always gets back onto her feet and practices what Jedi skills she knows along with her piloting. Hey there is always room for improvement, right?
Looking for: Friends/family most of all. She has never really had anyone for long enough to label them the latter.
Notes: She also needs a sparring partner. Anyone feel up to avoiding her Force abilities and/or her staff? :D

What they are like: Luna is an extremely kind, caring individual who is driven by a strong sense of duty. At home she is the Princess of Tenebrae and serves as Oracle. She can commune with the Astrals and she can use her powers to heal people suffering from something called the Starscourge. She's polite almost non stop but if she feels someone is out of line she won't hesitate to speak up. She's also pretty damned fearless and will totally disregard her own well being if it means doing what she has to do for the sake of her duty or to protect those she loves. For the last 12 years of her life she's practically been a prisoner in her own home.
Looking for: Luna hasn't had a lot of friends canonly because of being a practical prisoner for twelve years. She's communicated with one of her only friends via a magical time traveling messenger dog and a journal, so here on the Fleet I would LOVE for her to make really good friends and have people she can trust and hang out with and just generally get to be NORMAL with.

She's also totally up for giving out words of wisdom, being a shoulder to cry on... just anything, really.

What they are like: #spacedad Shiro is pretty much a good boy scout. A leader and a protector, he's always watching out for everyone, and his mind is always on the mission. He's been through some shit thanks to a galactic war against an alien empire and the four teenagers that make his team. He needs a vacation.
Looking for: New meat here so everything, really! The part about him needing a damn vacation is true, so people that can help him relax and take out his more playful side would be great. Someone to spar against some time down the road too (watch out for the metal arm). Other pilots for races and stupid stunts.
Notes: Shiro suffers from PTSD, let me know if you don't want to deal with that. And let me know if you want me to avoid spoilers too, since he's taken from the end of s2.
