katsuki bakugou | my hero academia
[ There are... sparks jumping off a very agitated looking young man's palms. He clearly knows better than to do whatever it is he wants to do -- a look out the window tells him that anything rash is probably as good as suicide -- but it doesn't stop him from whipping his head this way and that and shooting menacing glances at anything that looks suspicious.
Well. Everything is suspicious. All of this is suspicious. This is beyond unsettling and he's already worked his last nerve to bits. Being kidnapped and stogged into some kind of TV show? Like hell he's going to preform like some kind of trained monkey for these losers! He might be angling to be the top hero, but he's not about to stoop to some cheap social media trick to win public favor.
And besides... speaking frankly, he's had more than enough kidnappings for one lifetime. Every inch of him is tense and ready for combat, ready to let lose all this pent up rage... but mindful of his situation. ]
Hey. [ He finds his voice, finds the camera. One sparking hand slams into the wall next to it. The smile on his face is something straight out of a horror movie, all murderous impulse and bloodlust. ] Hey! Show yourself! What kind of coward hides and spies with a camera, ehh?! It doesn't matter if you put me back now or not, it doesn't even matter where you are, I'm going find you and I'm going to fucking kill you!
planetside.
[ You know what else he's had enough of? Simulated environments. Katsuki isn't about to go wandering into some strange empty city without scoping the place out, so you can see the kid rocketing through the air, propelled by explosions coming out of his palms. Nyoom.
He lands every now and again to scope a particularly interesting area out, occasionally muttering something under his breath. At someone's approach, he turns with a snarl, barking out an impatient ] WHAT? [ though it sounds more like he's upset that his concentration was broken than anything else. ]
ship.
[ There's some kind of grand cosmic joke, putting Katsuki in charge of any communications. Or even just letting him have access to a communication network that doesn't let him filter out what he deems to be unimportant. Hopefully you don't need anything important -- actually, hope you weren't saying anything important. He's clearly not paying attention.
Or he was, for the first two words. Now he's interrupting whatever you were saying with a scoff. ]
Quit blathering and get to the point already!

Turn around.

He half turns, keeping that sour look on his face. ]
What.

-for a few seconds, until his hair flops back down into his eyes and he jerks his head toward the door.] Let's take a walk.

once they dock at the iskaulit, aizawa takes bakugou down through the halls, over to a nondescript room that houses a certain hard copy document that isn't anywhere to be found on the networks. he stands by it, folding his arms to lean back against the wall.]
Give that a read.
no subject
It isn't until he gets to the glitching that he starts to look a little... worried. The scowl falls away to something resembling discomfort. They really know absolutely nothing about this. They're really, really helpless out there - there's no All Might to get them, and even if they were, how would they even find him?
Whether these are quirks or tech or not, there's so much at play it makes his head spin.
And if they're on camera -- how much can he even fucking say about this? The enemy could be listening, watching. And Bakugou is many, many things, but stupid in the face of danger is very rarely one of them. ]
So, what... we're just stuck here until they decide our cycle's up?
no subject
it's not even ego. not entirely.]
We don't know, [aizawa answers honestly.] Some people are content to sit around and wait for that to happen. Some people whose homes are worse than here. Some people without anyone to return to.
[he nods toward the document bakugou's still holding.] But it took over two dozen people to acquire just those tiny scraps of knowledge, and if reports are to believed, others even died for it.
no subject
This really, really isn't good. He looks down to the documents, mindful to not crumble it despite all of the feelings racing through him. This... this wouldn't even make a good briefing before a lesson. It's bits and pieces, barely enough to make a paragraph out of what has to be a novel. ]
Damn it.
[ After all of this... ]
And we can't make any concrete if they're watching our every movement and controlling where we go.
no subject
I didn't show you this to discourage you. And I know I don't need to impress upon you the seriousness of the situation we're in. [holds out his hand for the documents.] I showed you to tell you that you aren't alone. Your frustrations, your anger, your rage- they're understandable, and they're shared. So don't start off treating the other people in this Fleet as your enemy.
We're all just as pissed off as you.
no subject
I don't need a lecture about it-!
[ No, maybe he does. That's why he failed the exam, isn't it? Being unpleasant to other people in a crisis? It's not his fault that they --
No. No, that's the wrong kind of thinking. If Midoriya could go from being a miserable pissant to All Might's successor, gaining all that strength then - then he too has to take these lessons seriously. ]
... Yeah, yeah, I got it.

I... I just wanted to know if you were looking for anything? Like... to buy? I know you don't start out with much money here, so...
[It's a feeble excuse, she just really wants to hang out. It's been so long.]
You looked like you were on a mission or something.
no subject
I don't need your handouts, damn it! Haven't you ever heard of doing recon?
no subject
Yeah, of course! We already did plenty of that when we first arrived here. Anyway, it's not a handout! We're all on the same team here, after all.
no subject
He scuffs his fingers through his hair instead, growling to himself. Getting all wrapped up in his own anger isn't going to help anything. As much as he hates to admit it, he doesn't know anything about any of this. ]
Uraraka, how long you been here.
no subject
She glances down, hands clasped together in front of her. Don't fidget, don't push. He'll just leave if you make it weird.]
It's been... almost two years now.
no subject
He scratches the back of his neck. ]
I don't want your money, keep it. I'll earn my own fucking way if we're gonna be stuck here. But the second I get a chance I'm going to the bastard behind this. And then I'm going to rip his god damn face off and feed it to him!
no subject
It's also been that long since she witnessed what is obviously a very classic Bakugou reaction to the situation he's in.
When the moment passes she smiles, and her hesitation shifts into a giggle muffled behind her hand.]
Of course you'd say that! You don't even know who they are and you already want to wreck their day...
[Ahhh, she kind of missed his crazy.]
no subject
[ He's had ENOUGH of being kidnapped, thanks... and if there's no more All Might to rescue them, he's going to have to claw his own way out of here. ]
Of course I'm going to wreck them! Who the hell do they think they are!? [ Oh, here are the explosions. He's getting fired up just thinking about it -- and it's not like he can do this in the ship for obvious reasons. Good thing there's nobody around to stare or cower... not that it'd stop him. ] I've had just about enough of this shit and I've only been here a few days! Where's that fighting spirit, huh!?
no subject
[Fighting spirit, that is! Planet explosions, cannibal monsters, giant beasts- she's faced it all!
okay maybe not so much the cannibal stuffAnd she might still look the same age but she's got two extra years of training now, too.]I'm gonna go on recon with you, then. Or would you rather go find a place to punch it out?
[Notice how she's not really asking.]
no subject
Just don't slow me down, got it?
no subject
[Honestly it would probably be better for everyone if Bakugou was on a leash anyway.]
no subject
Whatever, just keep up.
[ And that's like all the warning you're getting. He's decided he's had enough of this particular area of the ghost town and is rocketing off like a loon. ]
