I like: Writing, reading, video games... In particular, I enjoy playing Final Fantasy XIV and the free-to-play ARPG Path of Exile. I'm very fond of birds and colorful fish. My favorite canons include Evangelion, Xenosaga, Hikaru no Go, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy XIV, The Last Remnant, and so on. Here's my current muselist, if you're curious.
Notes: I'm in the Central time zone, but my sleep schedule is a complete anomaly, so I'll be awake or asleep at random times of day and that keeps changing randomly. I apologize for my availability in advance. I'm not very active on Plurk (it's mostly a dream journal), but I do check it regularly, and I love talking about roleplay things and whatever else. My favorite colors are orange and purple, preferably when put together.

Character: Shinji Ikari from Rebuild of Evangelion, the remake/reboot/sequel(?) of the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise.
Ship/Augment: He's a pilot on the SS Heron.
What they are like: [application.] Quiet, shy, neurotic, introverted, depressed, suspicious, a bit unstable, with a great deal of empathy and a lot of kindness. Interested in astronomy, music, cooking, sewing, and not destroying the world. He's been part of the Fleet for over two years now(!), having seen people come and go and come and go, so he's constantly paranoid that he'll be the next to disappear. It's made him pretty hesitant to forge connections with new people, but he's very warm and loyal once he opens up a little bit. At the same time, he's actually comfortable here and grateful to be away from his fucked up home world. Formerly he was an Evangelion pilot, which is a fancy word for traumatized child soldier.
Looking for: Unhelpfully, I'm looking for any sort of CR whatsoever. His ratings are never stable stable because he needs to meet more people; he's still afraid of being "sent home." People around Shinji's age (mid-teens) who can be his friend. Older people who can also be his friend. People who can be good influences/mentors and help him realize adults aren't all out to hurt him. People who can be pseudo-family figures--especially father figures, yikes. I'd like to get him interested in photography and other random hobbies. He's got a few years of sewing experience to his name, so he could make something for someone. Anyone who wants to give him therapy is much appreciated, too. Negative CR is also pretty great, since he can be whiny, off-putting, and sarcastic in certain situations. Also, he has fully manifested as an "Angel," which is an alien being with immense power--he's still learning how to control that power. Quirky situations could arise from that.
Notes: I prefer writing in present tense, but that isn't set in stone. Shinji is also here with two people from his canon--Kaworu Nagisa and Asuka Shikinami Langley. He's very protective of both of them.

I happen to have a mentor/father/older brother figure who's really good at either putting up with or calling out on other people's shit. Maybe we could find a reason for them to meet and see what happens!

A contact post would be fine with me! Shinji's been avoiding the planet itself, because it's spooky, so it could be something based on the Iskaulit? Like maybe he's giving flowers he tended in the greenhouse to people he knows... or something.
