[ His grin takes on a decidedly cheeky edge and he floats up in the air a little, leaning down to look at Clark. ]
I don't know that our work outs would involve the same thing, but I'm sure I could manage if you ever change your mind.
[ Yes, you really are being flirted with. ]
no subject
I'll try and remember that.

Maybe a little. I'm just not used to the attention. It's really flattering.
[ Clark can never stop the instinctive reaction to look away, to vanish, to make sure he never leaves a lasting impression. He's played it dangerously close at times, and that's how Lois found him. ]

[Apollo is not encroaching on personal space, but he's definitely flirting with his body language... while still hovering.]
no subject
[ Something he is vaguely grateful for. ]

Are you saying that your personality is what turns women off?
no subject
Maybe? Don't take it from me.
no subject
Hey, you seem like a nice guy. And if I'm making you uncomfortable, just tell me so, okay?
no subject
You're not. Like I said, I'm flattered. I'm only not used to it. More of a drifting in and out type to get a lot of attention.
no subject
But he still finds it a little odd that more people haven't told Clark what a good looking guy he is. Maybe he's just good at hiding it at home.
Maybe the mud is just very becoming for him.
But, y'know, good that I'm not. I'm a flirt, I'd rather not go into creeper level.

[ It is flattering. It's just that Clark has years of instinctive responses to squash down. But he should be fine. This is a superhero . . . almost like Clark himself.
He shouldn't have to fear. ]

So, does your world have superheroes, post-humans?
no subject
And that's still up for debate.
no subject
... I've never been to a world without superheroes before. Or at least post-humans of some kind, but seriously, as soon as you get people with super powers, you get super heroes, even just on street level.
You have one though?
no subject
[ It's a little jarring, talking about himself. Trying to imitate what other people say. ]
I think there's another vigilante in Gotham but I haven't heard much about him.
no subject
... some part of me thinks we cruised through a world that had a Superman, maybe? Ugh, I wish Angie was here, she'd remember. Guess it doesn't matter.
Gotham, huh? That's a city my world doesn't have.
no subject
[ Says the guy speaking in quiet, mild tones. His posture is deferential and polite, like a gentle giant. ]
no subject
I guess it would be if you weren't used to it. I've never known anything else, I don't really think about it...
no subject
What's it like? Your world.

When StormWatch was dismantled and died a horrific fiery death in the sun, Jenny Sparks decided to put together The Authority. Just to tell people with our sort of powers that they're being watched. So behave. She died after we killed God. Not related.
[ He scratches his head, thinking about it.]
It's hard to say what it's like without something to compare it to, y'know?
no subject
[ Even with keeping his identity so tightly under wraps, Clark couldn't even picture a world with acceptance. He never had faith, just the need to do more.
Until Lois came. ]
It is your world, no matter what it is like.
no subject
[Derailed off flirting, his hand slides into his pocket, pulling out a photo wallet.]
My little girl, Jenny, she's starting to fly on her own. I'm so proud of her. Wanna see?
no subject
I'd love to.
no subject
[ He opens up the wallet to show a little girl of about five or six, with asian features, dark hair and eyes and a slight crackle of a pale blue energy about her hands and feet. ]
Her parents were killed during the attack on the hospital to steal her. Midnighter and I decided we'd raise her. Well, the team raised her, but we're her Dads. I didn't really want to at first. I never wanted to be responsible for another life like that. I was sure I'd do it horribly wrong but Midnighter reminded me all I had to do was love her and tear apart anything that tried to hurt her and it didn't seem as terrifying.
[ The next photo is said little girl being held by a woman who looks to be made of liquid metal, both wearing plastic tiaras. ]
That's Angie. She was my best man when we got married. And more tolerant of tea parties than I ever am.
