[ Fuwari bows, backs up, goes off to explore. When she's a little ways away, she decides that just that wasn't polite enough, so she turns to wave, carefully cradling her new pet rock in her other hand. ]

[He had no idea what that meant, but he assumed her waving as she was walking away meant it was a 'goodbye' thing, so he waved back before heading on his way.]

[ Rokurou's already geared up as he sets Fuwari down behind himself; it's true that hand-to-hand combat isn't his forte, but hey, by any means necessary if it gets him a fight. ]

[ So long as it's not too late to shift gears. If everything's gone into hiding around this time of day, this whole trip would have been a moot point. ]

[ Especially since he's got the feeling Edna's not the kind to appreciate someone barging ahead of her and being in her way. Call it his own rare intuition, while typically ignored, is respected if only because this is Eizen's beloved sister. ]

[ He takes long strides to break the distance between them and walk beside her, looking around curiously (or more like looking around for something to fight) as they go. Ah, and starting tactful and on-point conversations. ]

[ Fuwari won't move from the position where she's been placed - she trusts that's where he'd like her - but something about this seems a bit off. And that's concerning. ]

[If she has to walk with stupid, she wants to see it. And if he does something particularly dumb, she wants him within hitting range. Although, she does sort of appreciate the thought behind his offer.

Maybe he's not as dumb as he looks.]

[ Rean looked to his left and right, crossing his arms thoughtfully as he realized neither hallways differed all that much. Not that he had anywhere in particular to get to. It'd be nice to find a place where he could practice a bit, or maybe walk around, some place he could think about his new situation. He sighed. He didn't have his tachi with him and though he'd have liked to have it, it made sense that these people who took him wouldn't take it with him.

He didn't feel like a captive, though, but still... He shook his head and willed himself to just start walking. To anywhere. That should help him think more clearly... ]

[We'll say for this testdrive, they're on the same ship. In anycase, Jusis knows that pensive look of Rean's. He's one to help others, but keep his own thoughts to himself when he needs someone to listen. Jusis is indeed that someone who is willing as he approaches his friend.]

Could I help in that task of keeping your mind off of things?

[Rean is the one who gets Jusis' rare smiles as well as a friendly inflection in his voice.]

[ He couldn't help but lighten up at the familiar face. Jusis had found himself here a while back and had been a welcome surprise. Though, he supposed, he shouldn't be too glad about seeing another friend in the same plight as this. It wasn't a bad place but they both had places to be and work to do.

Clark really wasn't sure how the fist were floating above the water, or why they were in different colors. It was a reminder that yes, he wasn't on Earth any longer. But still - fish were supposed to be in water to breathe, right? So how were they doing that?!

This is why people may stumble (or trip) over him as he crouches down to stare at one particular blue and red fish over the top of his glasses while trying to figure out a) how they do that and b) does Superman need a pet fish that matches his costume.


On Ship
Having lived on Earth his whole life, Clark has always dreamed of flying in space. Maybe it was a memory of watching the stars whiz by his baby spacepod as he traveled from Krypton to Earth. But there was a longing there, and even now as he was in the ship, part of him just wanted to be out there flying instead of stuck inside looking through a window.

He pressed his hand to the glass a moment, then pushed away, lost in thought as he went to explore his new home.

[ After spending quite a bit of time in the Fleet, the fish weren't anything too notable for Kara. She was in the market to kill some time, maybe find some snacks and a gift or two, and just take in the local color. She didn't notice the crouching guy for a moment, but something in the back of her mind told her to take a second glance, and that's when it hits her. Still a few feet away, she whirls around and then freezes in place. ]

Oh, Rao! Clark? Clark is that you?!

[he tears his eyes away from the staring contest he and the fish have got going, and then they widen.]

Have you been here long? Oh my god, this is great! I mean, not so great that we're both here but I'm so happy to see you!

Well, it hasn't been a year. We've definitely texted in the last year. Last time I saw you was that whole problem with the kryptonium and your sister's boss.

That's what I remember, too, which is a good start.

[ she thinks about correcting him to say that J'onn is her boss, too, and a friend, but she doesn't want to rehash the whole thing, particularly when she's not comfortable defending J'onn's position either ]

We really need to hang out more.

[It's not often that Jusis is willing to lend an ear, but when he is, he's glad to do it. If anything, Rean might be his one solace he has in this place where he's put his facade that puts people at arm's length again.]

Nothing in particular really... [ Rean found himself saying first. Which wasn't entirely a lie. He didn't think talking about their home and that was going on there right now would help. It'd just make him want to go back and that wasn't possible right now. And really, that might be the most relevant thing in his mind right now.... Except...]
