Inquisitor Lavellan || Dragon Age: Inquisition
[ It is still going to take a great deal of getting used to the cold, iron walls and the strange items throughout that keep the ship alive. The constant noise and hum are vastly different than the sounds of Skyhold or even the forests they find themselves in. Certainly nothing like living creatures.
He can be found in various parts of the ship at any given time: the kitchen attempting yet again to figure out the contraption that dispenses what passes as food. No matter what anyone says these are not vegetables, the hallways familiarizing himself with the layout, or in the bridge staring out at the vast blanket of stars. ]
[ Planetside ]
[ As strange as it is being underwater and being able to function normally, the cities of the planet truly are something to behold. Vast buildings that seem alive and as much a part of the wildlife itself are interesting to navigate, but the locals are quite helpful. The illness that seems to plague them is troubling, so the Inquisitor can be found using what healing magic he does have in order to aid them. There's little else to do, and he has no coin to really speak of. This is merely an extension of what he's trying to do in Ferelden, though at a much smaller scale. ]
Planetside
[ She spotted him healing a native on the street and started a conversation as he was walking by. There's no such thing as a free cure-from-certain-death. ]
Planetside
What benefit would I gain from that aside from guilt? They've little to give.

And if you tell me their 'gratitude' is enough I'll vomit.

[ He's not going to say that, but it's very much what he's thinking. He doesn't need anything from them, okay. ]
no subject
Do you ever think you might be hurting instead of helping?
no subject
[ Look, he didn't ask to get pulled into the crazy shit that happens to him, he just takes it in stride, now. ]

Still, this is not the time to talk of such things. Not when there's a chance of the food dispenser getting broken. He needs that to eat. ]
I would not press that button if I were you.
Shipside
Knowing wisdom when he hears it, he stops and lowers his arm, turning to look at whoever has joined him. He's mildly surprised to see another elf, though it's a pleasant surprise. ]
What does it do?
no subject
It starts the blighted thing.

[ The skepticism of the food machine increases and he takes a step to the side. Better left untouched, then. ]

Though, honestly, if you wait for Jarvis, he can make you a much better meal. He's surprisingly inventive with the paste.
no subject
[ He's not run into very many others, yet, but it isn't as if they are going anywhere. ]
Ah-- I have yet to introduce myself. [ You know, like a rude child. ] LĂșthien.
no subject
[He's not even their cook, come on, Jarvis.]
It is good to meet you. [Kind of, despite the Dalish thing :| ] I'm Fenris.
no subject
[ Look. He is very proud of the Dalish thing. Even though his clan is a little different from the others. ]
A pleasure, Fenris.

But the most beautiful, too.
She doesn't rush to speak at first, waiting a few moments in thoughtful quiet before she finally speaks up:]
They have a view like this where you're from?
shipside
He misses the sun, but the stars? They're beautiful and serve as a reminder. He turns his head to look at whoever has decided to join him, humming softly. ]
Certainly not as vast as this one. This is.. extraordinary. I'm not familiar with any of these constellations.

As far as I know, no one in the fleet recognizes any of them. Which is probably intentional.
no subject
I can't say I'm not surprised. Why take us someplace we may recognize? Chance gives hope, and hope breeds motivation.
no subject
Oh, there's hope. There's always hope. But... even if we got away from the fleet, there's nothing to navigate home with.
Assuming home is even out there somewhere.
no subject
[ He looks back out to the stars for a moment, thoughtful. ]
If this place truly is what we're meant to believe, we're out of any of our own times. The thought, I will admit, is rather unsettling.
[ He's traveled through time before, it was less than fun. Seeing the future of what should pass if he fails? He certainly has motivation. ]
no subject
[Among other complications.]
Or different timelines. You start getting used to it.

[ There are only a few of them who could possibly enjoy this situation. It's better that they are safe at Skyhold- though there is still no evidence that time is truly interrupted. ]
