Hey all, sadly due to medical issues it is time for Mystique to go. She may be back one day, but that will have to wait until I am at a better place in my recovery. My apologies to those I am in the middle of threads with, it has been a blast having a chance to play her again here and I want to thank all those she had CR with or even just had threads with.

She leaves behind her weapons for Raven, so she can keep/distribute how she wants to, with the exception of the wooden training swords she had made up for Hermione. Her photo album goes to Charles to hold onto for a later point (as pre-discussed).

Sam's Slow Burning Fae Plot Thingy

Hey guys! Little backstory before I jump into the reason behind this post — back in Sam's previous game, he had to rescue a certain little fae kid (flickerflash ) from doom by absorbing part of her into his body and acting as a temporary courier of said soul. After the soul of this pooka left him, he was tragically left with fragments of this being's inhuman soul. He's fulla' the glamour!!

What does this mean??

Well, onto the point of the entry!!

Sam has been, in very limited, small bursts, able to perceive things the way a pooka does. He sees echoes, for one thing!

Here is the description from Katie's permissions:

"Katie has a deep and abiding connection to the Dreaming, which means she sees the world in a different light to most. If a character has recurring dreams and/or nightmares, fantasies, obsessions, or anything that really registers very strongly with them, Katie will be able to see echoes of it surrounding that character. Please note these are rare, so they have to be real and utter fixations or something your character thinks about every single day or dreams about every night, or has shaped how they live their lives greatly. An example might be Rem, for Vash the Stampede - she's in his thoughts all the time, he lives his life the way he does because of her, etc etc."

Basically, he's been seeing the briefest glimpses here and there. Unfortunately, because of his interaction with magic on their current location, the effects of having pieces of Katie's soul inside him will STRENGTHEN the issue here. He's going to be seeing echoes and accidentally using some of Katie's powers (IN MOMENTS OF ANGRY OR FRUSTRATED OR PANICKED STRESS, primarily!!!), like being able to flick people, or being able to heal people (though he's got little to no control over this, because... y'know, new, and all). He'll also be more tasty-looking to any beings who absorb energy. Or the glamour may be sensed by people who have that ability.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A PART OF THIS SLOW-BURNING PLOT STUFF, let me know! And please do FILL OUT KATIE'S PERMISSIONS, because I will be going off hers in order to see these echoes! This way, Sam may see facets/snippets of your characters echoes. Good, dirty fun for the whole CR family. I'm gonna try to ping people and ask if it's okay for Sam to see echoes if I'm not sure you're down for that!

Now, Sam's really vulnerable to those echoes, too. They're gonna be very much a physical threat to him — later on as this progressively worsens, your character's echoes may even try to attack or hurt him! At that point he'll surrender and ask for help (which will be another plot post for another time, haha), but for now, he's going to try to be as hush-hush about it as possible. Feel free to question him though. Keep an eye out for plotty stuff about removing all this weirdo fae business. I'll update y'all whenever we get to "omg I gotta fix this" mode, which may be a while! SLOOOW BUUUURNNNNNNN-
