Hello, hi, hello! I am Laurant, and I am brand new and bringing in a tiny singing idol child... aka Sonata Shinonome, from AKB0048, a sort of sci-fi idol anime set in the far future where entertainment is banned and idol training involves little girls getting shot at because they have to learn how to fight and protect themselves! Because being an idol is illegal and means getting attacked at your concerts.

Sonata herself is a energetic wild child of sorts who does what she wants! Including stowing away on a shuttle because she wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer about becoming a space idol despite not meeting the mininum age requirement. She is also the younger sister of Kanata (truecaptain), but canon events happened as normal for her.... except for the part where Sonata spent some time over in the Digital World over at themainframe. She's a year older now, bbbbuuuuuut otherwise is the same.

hi everyone!! i'm anne, and i'm also completely new, and it's also lynn's fault. blame lynn for everything. (also partially ren's fault. whoever's fault it is, it definitely isn't mine.)

i'm bringing in mal from the discworld book monstrous regiment, which is a perfect gem of a book that everyone should read. mal is a vampire and a soldier who dressed up as a man in order to get into the army (even vampires do that, apparently). she also drinks coffee instead of blood, so don't worry about, you know, covering your necks. it okay. GENERALLY mal is a pain in the ass, so i'm excited to fling her at all of yours until they get exasperated and leave. also! in drift fleet she has the engineering augment, which i am super super excited about.

A third book character to blame on Lynn

Hi! My name is Leah and I too am absolutely new here and have brought a book character from a book about a girl who dresses up like a boy so she can fight for the kingdom.

But, uh. A different one.

This guy I have with me here is George Cooper from Tamora Pierce's Song of the Lioness Quartet, which takes place in her Tortall universe. He's not the crossdressing badass in question, simply her bff who until very recently was the King of all the thieves in Tortall and has now ended up with a pardon from the actual King of Tortall and a future career in spymastering. He'll be trying to translate that to here, as I've stuck him in Communications, so get ready for twisty-spy-brain diplomacy, whichever ship ends up receiving him. He's a pretty friendly dude all the same, for a guy with an ear collection at home.

Everyone should add me at maleabotor because I've been stalking you all in Lynn's plurks and I think you're all great.

ETA: NEARLY FORGOT George has a Permissions Post for the magical instinct power he has and I'd really appreciate anyone filling it out, especially if your character has a power themself.

Helloooooo everyone. I'm Caten, and completely new to this game! Which is Lynn's fault completely and entirely, btw, because uh I'm not about to say no to a shark.




I'm bringing with me Polly Perks (sometimes Oliver, sometimes Ozzer, more frequently sarge these days). She's from Monstrous Regiment, an amazing Discworld Book that everyone should read. Long story short: She cut her hair and put on trousers to join the army, and discovered that she wasn't the only one. Also the country she's from rejected any form of technological advancement if it couldn't help them attack people, so this is all kind of new to her.

She has the pilot augment, which is a good augment for someone who didn't even properly realise space was a thing until just now. But she'll be good at it, actually, once she gets some experience. /o/
