Intro! New player and character

Hello! I'm Haunt, and I'm totally new here.

I'm bringing in Kitty Pryde from X-Men: Age of Apocalypse (comic canon AU) with CRAU from MarinaNova (underwater prison RP on InsaneJournal). So, she'll probably recognize some versions of people (which she can always forget too if you'd prefer she not.) It's been a little while since I was on a game on Dreamwidth, so I may be a little rusty where it's different from IJ. I'm excited to be here and eager to play with you all, and it's too early in the morning to think of anything else to say!

Hello, chums. I'm Hannah and I'm bringing you everyone's absolute favorite A Song of Ice and Fire character, Theon Greyjoy. He's taken from the end of A Clash of Kings (i.e. season 2 of the show) so he's still in tip-top mental shape. Just--all his friends are sort of going to hate him for what just went down at home.

Theon is both a supreme asshole and deeply insecure. He was the ward of Eddard Stark, basically held prisoner by the Starks for half his life to make sure his dad halfway across the world behaved and didn't start up any new rebellions, so he's sort of stuck somewhere between Greyjoy and Stark and he's really bitter about that. He makes really bad decisions, but he's a good time. Just don't let him make any political moves.

I've never played him from this canon point, so I'm looking forward to that. You can add me on plurk at muttonchops if you don't have me there already!

Saffy here... again. Switching out Undyne for Dezel from Tales of Zestiria! He is far less social than she was, and it turns out RL isn't a complete crapshoot, so now it's time for something completely different.

Dezel is sort of like a tall, dark, angsty version of Riku with green hair dye. He attacks using wind magic and... pendulums? Like, those things fortune tellers use... idk, you can put a blade on the end of anything and hit someone hard enough and it'll be a valid fighting style.

Notably, Dezel is a seraphim (an elemental nature spirit) which means he may or may not be visible or audible to your character if they meet in person. Please help me figure it out by filling out his permissions! (Hint: If your character can see Mikleo, they can probably see Dezel too.)

To complicate things further, his augment is tactical. Oh, and he's completely blind.

Hi, everyone.

I'm Saff, new to the fleet, and bringing in Irvine from Zoids: Chaotic Century/Guardian force. You know, that one show that aired back in the early 2000s that had godawful syndication times on Cartoon Network. The anime centered around the adventures of a shonen kid and his pet metal dinosaur that Irvine may or may not have tried to steal once or twice, before deciding it was never worth the effort.

Irvine himself is a mercenary by trade and one of the series' many Zoid pilots. He's a very pragmatic individual who prefers to keep to himself and not stick his nose into other people's business unless there's something it for him—or so Irvine would like to think, anyway. He's a bit more noble than he'd like to get himself credit for.

He'll be coming into Driftfleet about halfway through the events of Guardian Force. But alongside that, he'll also have a few months of Paradisa memories under his belt. He's overjoyed about it, he really is.

My Life on the D-List: The Namorita Prentiss Story

Hey, everybody! I'm Carolyn and I just got accepted with Marvel Comics sidekick/third-stringer Namorita, distaff counterpart and cousin of the much more powerful and useful Namor. Nothing about her makes the least bit of sense, even by cape comics standards, so don't try to force it, but the brief summary: She is laid-back and extremely friendly, cheerful, and ethical, plus she can fly, breathe underwater, and use a Buick as a melee weapon. Also she sounds and acts like an American teenager despite having grown up in Atlantis and being probably in her 30s.

Looking forward to meeting/playing with all of you!

PS. Relevant to canonmates: She got resurrected in 2011, so she's current to right before AvX, but because of Time Travel Shenanigans, she only remembers through about 1992. She knows about Civil War and her own death, but if anyone's aware IC of the crap Namor's been up to since Hickman's New Avengers run started, I'd rather she not hear about it, because there's only so much of this nonsense one character can stand.

Hey, guys. I'm Pho, totally new to the game and bringing in FDR from a silly little rom-com called This Means War. Gold stars to anyone who has seen it!

But if you haven't, FDR is a well-dressed, playboy CIA agent who pretends to be a cruise ship captain. Which he's going to totally try to pull off here for as long as he can. He doesn't have the best record for not blowing his cover though, so we'll see how long that lasts! He likes movies, CHiP marathons, rock band, sex, Sade, and ...stalking the girl he likes with fancy CIA technology. But it's totally not that creepy, he's just doing it so he can learn all of her likes and dislikes so he can win her in a very gentlemanly like competition against his BFF/partner that he's kind of codependent on. Okay, it's kinda creepy. But for the most part, he's easy-going, friendly, flirty, and then occasionally a jackass.

Hello there, Drift Fleet!

Sorry for the delay, but this was one heck of a record-breaking Shuffle. Each ship gained at least one new passenger this week, and every ship but one was officially over capacity by a crewmate or two--at least until upgrades were processed and a few ships gained a little breathing room through a capacity upgrade (those lucky ducks).

This influx continues to be part of the current setting, but we're doing what we can to try and keep most of the chaos and confusion affecting the characters, as opposed to the players. So, in addition to the measures we've introduced in the [previous post], we are setting up a mingle themed around newly-Shuffled characters. We hope it will be one more way to help old players keep up with the new additions to their crews, and allow new players to introduce themselves with greater ease.

Also, a big thank-you to those who have already chipped in and shared their thoughts in the last post. It's always great to be able to get a sense of the current thoughts and opinions of the playerbase. And we would love to hear from the rest of you, so keep those comments coming in!

Another newbie here! I go by fakealchemist and I am bringing in one Jaina Solo from Star Wars to further muck up the cast timeline and Skywalker family drama and also to maybe get Luke's skill as a teacher judged by all the other Jedi with more organized training and. y'know. actual understanding of the Jedi tradition.

Jaina's being taken from the end of Young Jedi Knights, from the old EU/"Legends" continuity, and is basically here to climb inside all of your ship's engines to see how they work. If she gets the opportunity to get into trouble there is a 110% chance she will go for it, but because she's from before the Vong war at least she won't be grumpy while she does it. Also since her augment is engineering, anyone who offers to retrain her in piloting will probably have her on their heels with stars in her eyes.
